"Good Ridance" - WE TAKE IT BACK!

Well, life without Nutramigen didn't go so well. It only took 48 hours before Blake was making a mid-night run to Wal-Mart for a can. Riley didn't eat very well on Saturday, which we expected. We assumed it would take some time for her to grow used to the change in taste, but on Sunday she cried alot of the day. She also suffered what appeared to be intense abdominal cramping and didn't have a single dirty diaper, which happened last time we attempted to make the change. Will was the only one not awake at 4 this morning - Lots of tears on the part of our precious little girl. Blake made a run last night for a can of Nutramigen and she guzzled her first bottle and within two had a dirty diaper... Along with several today(the things you type as a mother). :) This afternoon and evening our kind natured, smiling baby reappeared and her father and mother made a pact that this was the last time we would attempt life without Nutramigen! Her health and happiness are worth so much more the cost of a can of formula...

I was buying micaiah some formula today and thought I would check out the price of the formula that you are using and I'm pretty sure I got weak in the knees and made a noise cause the lady standing next to me was like "are you okay" and i was like yeah i'm just in shock! but you know there are a few things that we buy for MGF that are pricey and it's totally worth paying the price considering the out come. A HAPPY FAMLY!!! and a sane mommy!

Poor Riley!! I would agree with you to stay on that formula no matter what the cost!! Hope she feels better today.

I would stay with it for another month or so...then try again. At some point her system will adapt. My granddaughter had to stay on soy formula for a year. As with Riley, very much worth it. Hang in there.
