Update

We are still camping out with my parents. They are amazing and have made our time here as easy as you could imagine.

This evening marks the end of wk 1 of bedrest for Emery and I. I have a visit with my dr tomorrow afternoon and am anxious to see her and get the answers to a few questions. Even with bedrest and medication I am having a few contractions an hr. And normally after my daily shower I end up laying down for an hr or 2 waiting for them to slow down because they jump to anywhere from 5-10 minutes apart. The shower is about the only way my family is allowing me to exhert myself though. :)

Blake is back to work as much as he can this week. My mother is precious and sent him back on Friday so that he will have vacation time to take when Emery comes! Will has been in an surprisingly good mood. I think he sleeps better in Mimi's bed(guest bed) then at home which amazed Blake and I and makes us hesitent to go home! :) He is such a precious child and adjusting well to the chaos that is our life at the moment. Blake and I have been such parental wimps when it has come to forcing Riley to "cry it out" at night. The entire pregnancy we have said we wanted her trained before Emery came and then from 16 weeks into the pregnancy I have struggled and much of the caring for the kids has relied on Blake and my parents. Needless to say my parents are begging us to suck it up and get this girl trained! :) So Mom is trading nights with Blake and we are hoping that Emery holds long enough for them to have Riley sleeping through the night without us getting up 4-5 times a night to put the pacifier back in her mouth! :) All that said she has about 10 words in her vocabularly that she uses on a regular basis and she is still obsessed with her big brother!

My parents are absolutely amazing. This semester is supposed to be my dad's sabattical and was supposed to be a quiet fall for him, but he has graciously given as much help as is needed! Mom has come over 4 mornings a week and picked up the house and loaded us in the van to come to their house for the day for weeks now... Of course this past week has gone even farther and she is doing our laundry and mothering us until 36 wks or Emery comes(whichever is 1st). She even trades nights with Blake in caring for the kids so that he can sleep through the night and a little bit later so he isn't compeltely exhausted.

God is graciously sustaining us and has provided many generous friends who have been helping care for the kids and provide meals. We covet your prayers...

You are inching ever so close to D- Day...(delivery day). Your parents would have it no other way. As a parent, no matter how old your child, you try to help them.. God gives us children and it is our responsibility to take that gift serious. You are doing your job, by helping keep Emery healthy. Riley will catch on...eventually... :) You are so correct to recognize that your parents are so special...I am sure it is difficult, but you, Blake, Will, Riley and your folks are and will continue to do a great job. Just a little longer. Prayer and love to all... Joyce
