The Ring family had hoped that we would be able to usher in 2010 quietly... That didn't happen. On Christmas night Blake had a short but intense stomach bug. We went ahead and loaded up the next morning to be with his family. On Sunday night Emery began throwing up. The next morning I called her pediatrician and they suggested we cut out her formula and put her on only pedialyte. By the next morning she was unable to even keep that down and was terribly pale and listless. We ushered her off to the Emergency Room in Effingham. After a battery of tests they decided it came down to a terrible bug that had caused severe dehydration. They hooked Emery up to an iv and ran fluids for an hour and a half. She was beginning to perk up and after keeping an ounce of pedialyte down they allowed us to bring her home. With watered down formula she is slowly perking up and we are so greatful! Emery gave her mommy and daddy quite a scare...

That is always so scary. Glad she is on the mend. Not a very good way to spend Christmas, but good that you had family close by. May 2010 be a blessed year for the Ring family of 5.
I can't imagine how scary that was! It is hard enough to have your child in the hospital for a scheduled surgery, I would be beside myself if one of mine was in the hospital because they were sick. I pray all are better soon.
