I needed a lamp for my familyroom and my gracious mother gifted me with a lamp she didn't want anymore. Wait! Maybe she wasn't being that gracious. :)
The color wasn't working for my color scheme so I decided to attempt my first spray paint job! 
I taped off the first foot or so of the cord. I taped off the electrical area of the lamp.
I threw a white lamp shade on it and it fits perfectly on my new bookshelf! I was pretty proud of it, and I guess pretty thankful for it. :)
