The fabric I ordered for my kitchen chairs came in last week. In true "Cook Fashion", Mom and I had the chairs recovered by lunch the next day. Well, mainly Mom recovered(though I have done it before) and I ensured that no children were stapled in the process.
I was happily surprised to find that though the fabric was laminated, it was about the same thickness as a normal cotton! |
The "old" fabric... Actually only 3 years old. This is mom's 3rd fabric on the table. |
#1 Unscrew the chair pads.
#2 Position fabric and start stapling to back of pad! Pull it tight on 2 opposite side and then begin to work on the corners. Because the fabric was laminated it took a few more staples then normal.
#3 Hammer the staples gently to ensure they are attached.
#4 Trim extra fabric
Time to add fabric #4! |
#5 Re-attach chair pads!
I am loving the end result! Bright and Cheery!... And wipable!!!!
