No Moore

This past Sunday, Dr. Russell Moore announced that he would be leaving Ninth and O Baptist Church at the end of July to take a preaching position at Highview Baptist Church. The Moore family joined Ninth and O in 2001 and the past seven years have proven to be fruitful for the Moore's with the addition of four beautiful boys: Benjamin, Timothy, Samuel, and Jonah. Dr. Moore and Maria have been faithful members of the church and their absence will be noticed.
Not only did I have the privilege of being one of Dr. Moore’s pastors, I was also a student in the first class he taught at Southern Seminary. When I first met Dr. Moore, we called him Russ and he wasn’t yet a doctor. Today, he is the Dean of the School of Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am personally grateful for Dr. Moore because through his teaching and preaching he helped me to see the big picture of Scripture and how Jesus Christ is interwoven through the entire biblical narrative. The Ring family wishes the Moore family all the best as they move into a new chapter of their ministry.
