One thing I always look at before attempting a recipe are the ingredients - Do I have to purchase many? Are they expensive? One thing I liked about thing recipe is that basically everything is a normal ingredient I'd have in my home:
Ingredients:
1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
pinch of salt
1/4 of a cup syrup
1 cup milk
1 large egg, beaten
2 tbsp. melted unsalted butter
3 ripe bananas
1 cup blueberries
Cover the bottom of a 9x13 pan with thin slices of banana.
Spread half a cup of blueberries over the bananas.
Mix dry ingredients: oatmeal, baking powder, and cinnamon.(This would be a great place to add some nuts!)
Mix wet ingredients: egg, cooled-melted butter, maple syrup, vanilla
Pour your dry mixture on first and then follow by pouring over your liquid mixture.
Bake at 375 for 35-40 minutes.
This turned out to be so yummy!
FYI: While this looks like alot of food, it only serves about 6!
